A fishing rod:
A rod is a tool used to catch fish. A rod consists in the base of a stick with a line attached to one of the ends. Rods can be subdivided into fixed rods and fishing rods. Modern rods are made of composite materials such as fibreglass or graphite, but in the past people used simple reed and bamboo rods.
A hook (with or without barb) is usually attached to the line of the rod, to which the fisherman first attaches some bait. If a fish takes the bait in the mouth, the fisherman can move the rod ('catch on') and the fish will get stuck to the hook. The fisherman concludes that a fish has taken the bait in the mouth because a float on the line (float) moves or because the top of the rod moves. When the floater goes under, the fisherman catches on and in the case of a fishing pole, he can use the thrower to drill the fish in order to get it into the landing net.
" It makes me happy to create memories "
I love to photograph in the French or Dutch countryside. Forests, countryside or by the sea. But also cities, towns and villages (especially in France) are my favorites.
Best regards ! Yvonne..
