The dotted loosestrife (Lysimachia punctata) blooms in early summer in larger groups in sparse places in the forest.
The plant actually comes from southeastern Europe, but was often planted in ornamental gardens. Also favored by climate change, it is spreading, again feral, increasingly in more northern climes.
In the series Blackground I completely hide the natural background by using macro flashes.
This allows the viewer's eye to focus entirely on the details of the small natural wonders depicted.
