About ‘champagne vineyards’ by anne droogsma

Champagne (la Champagne) is France's northernmost wine region and is known for its sparkling wines, which are the only ones in the world allowed to bear the name 'champagne' (le champagne). In addition, a few non-sparkling white and red wines are also produced under the AOC 'Coteaux Champenois'. Location
The region is located in the north-east of France and is the northernmost area suitable for wine growing in the country. The Marne, a tributary of the Seine, flows through the area. Most of the vineyards are located in the Marne department, but there are also vineyards in Aisne and Aube that belong to the region. Champagne consists of two regions. The northern region is located around the triangle formed by Reims (N), Épernay (W) and Châlons-en-Champagne (SE). The southern region is located south of Châlons and is bordered by Bar-sur-Aube (N0), Bar-sur-Seine (W) and Mussy-sur-Seine (S).

As a result of the global high demand for champagne and the resulting scarcity, in 2008 the French wine industry unanimously decided to expand the official champagne region by approximately 2,500 hectares, allowing more wine to be produced. Instead of the original 319 districts that can give sparkling wine the champagne designation, 357 districts now belong to the champagne region following the expansion.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
