About ‘braassemermeer’ by Pictures by Van Haestregt

The Braassemermeer lake, locally known as the Braassem, is a 425-hectare lake in northern South Holland. In an old note of sale dated 1 April 1296, the lake is called "die Mere van Rinsaterwald". The Braassemermeer lies in the municipality of Kaag and Braassem, with Roelofarendsveen on the west bank and Rijnsaterwoude on the east bank. To the south of the lake is the De Hemmen nature reserve.

The Braassemermeer and the Braassemermeer are both said.

Via the Paddegat, the lake is connected to the Wijde Aa and the Woudwetering. Via Oude Wetering, the lake is connected to the Ringvaart canal. Thus, the shipping route from the Oude Rijn to the Ringvaart runs through the lake.

Nowadays, the lake is mainly used for water sports recreation such as canoeing and sailing. Along the lake are several marinas and an indoor marina, water sports clubs, boat rentals, cafés and restaurants. In winter, the Braassemermeer is a popular location for ice sailing, and IJszeilvereniging Brasemermeer is the oldest ice sailing club in the world. When there is ice, the association still organises ice sailing competitions with Old Dutch ice barges, the DN class and the international Monotype XV class.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
