About ‘Zeelandbrug with Northern Lights from a low vantage point’ by Lennart Verheuvel
At 1.44am on the night of 10 May, I took this photo from the east side of the Zeeland Bridge. As it was low tide, the stones on the shore were easy to see. For this photo, I chose to shift the focus more to the foreground although the northern lights above the bridge are, of course, unmistakable.

Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2023 (#WPY59). All my pictures were taken in the wild, so nothing from the zoo! I have been photographing since I was twelve years old and the focus has always been on nature photography. In the Netherlands I mainly look at birds, but abroad mammals also have my interest.
