About "Zebras of the Icy Plains"

by Karina Brouwer

About the artwork

Long ago, when the world was in turmoil, a herd of zebra's went in search of a new home. Their familiar savannahs had changed, and a mysterious voice in the wind whispered to them to travel north, to the land of silence and snow.

The zebra's embarked on an epic journey through unfamiliar plains and icy mountains. As temperatures dropped and winds grew stronger, their stripes grew into symbols of strength and perseverance. Their black and white patterns perfectly reflected the contrast of the Arctic landscape: light and dark, heat and cold, struggle and calm.

Arriving in the Arctic wonderland, the zebra's found no enemies but a serene silence full of wonder. The snow-white plains and dancing northern lights showed them that beauty can also be found in the unknown. They learned to survive and gave this landscape an unexpected touch of life.

The story can be interpreted as a metaphor for change and adaptation, something both humans and nature have to endure. The image of zebra's in such an inhospitable environment reinforces the idea that beauty and strength are often found in the most unexpected places.

This work would fit perfectly in a calming and serene environment like a bedroom. The work is inspired by nature and silence.
