About the artwork

This black-and-white photograph was taken in Kruger National Park in South Africa, one of the continent's best-known and oldest game reserves. In the soft morning light, two zebras rest close together, a typical behaviour within the herd. By standing like this, they not only keep an eye on each other, but also help keep flies and other insects away.

The zebra is instantly recognisable by its distinctive black and white stripes, which not only serve as camouflage against predators but also help regulate body temperature. No two zebras have the same pattern - each zebra carries its own unique 'fingerprint'.

The beautiful morning light and the natural patterns of the animals convey a sense of calm and balance. This photograph captures an everyday but special moment in the life of the African savannah, where harmony and survival go hand in hand.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
