About ‘Yoga Tree Pose’ by Jochen A. Pfisterer

Brush drawing with black acrylic paint on white cardboard. My painting style is inspired by the art of Japanese Sumi-e and Zen painting. I try to depict an object, a person, with as few brushstrokes as possible. The empty surface is an essential part of the picture, as taught by Far Eastern artists. This results in a calm silhouette without hatching or shadows. As a European with a different cultural background, I endeavour to make my brush drawings appear three-dimensional. The few thicker lines indicate that the figure casts a shadow. This gives the drawing depth despite the reduction.

The lady is standing calmly on one foot, her hands vertically above her point of view. In this way, the yoga pose (tree pose) can be assumed in great harmony with one's own body over a longer period of time.

The image should radiate calm and blend harmoniously into the atmosphere of a room without dominating it.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
