Every spring they appear again, the yellow wagtails on the tulips. With their bright colors they often give a nice contrast or you have to look for them among all the colorful tulips. They often hide at the bottom near the stems, but as soon as they get hungry, you can see them catching flies.
Why they always visit the tulip fields is not clear to me, perhaps because these attract flies.
This Yellow Wagtail was happily whistling.
It is very nice to follow the birds, flying and playing after each other. To take this photo, my partner and I spent almost a full day sitting on a chair on the shoulder near the tulip fields. It was a beautiful, clear day, which also makes taking a photo more appealing.
Often we go out for a day like this, bag of sandwiches and drinks with us and enjoy everything around us.
