About ‘Wooden bridge over the Oude IJssel 2’ by Ankie Kooi
Detail shot of a handrail of a wooden footbridge over the Oude IJssel river.
The traces of time and the effects of weather in the old wood are nicely shown in this black-and-white photograph.
In this way, the curve of the railing seems to reach into the distance, where dark clouds are gathering.

Ankie Kooi

I have a passion for nature, photography and drawing, which comes together in the digital drawings paintings and photos of flowers and plants.
Photography for me is all about nature and then flora in particular. Especially marcro shots and abstracts are my favourite.
These photos are also often used for the digital line drawings I offer elsewhere on werkaandemuur.nl.
Nature is also the main inspiration for my physical works, which can be found on my own…
