About ‘Women in Flattery’ by Color Square

Four stylised female portraits, each in its own plane spread across a two-by-two grid. Each figure has a unique hairstyle and a distinct use of colour, in which black, red and white dominate. The background texture is reminiscent of linen or burlap, adding a warm, textile touch to the otherwise graphic-stark image.

What stands out is the play between uniformity and individuality. All the figures share the same minimalist style and countenance without pronounced facial expressions, yet each has a distinct personality. The differences are in subtle details: the sunglasses on the woman on the lower left, the asymmetrical hairdo on the lower right, and the use of hair colour as a visual counterweight in each composition. The red accents in hair, clothing or lipstick enhance the sense of strength and femininity.

The work seems to reflect the modern female identity, where style, expression and uniformity come together in a culturally defined aesthetic. The graphic nature, combined with the textile background, gives a nod to fashion illustration and pop art, evoking associations with 1960s retro design.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
