Lying quietly, flat on the ground, facing mice in the field. When the opportunity arises, the young wolf suddenly springs into action and jumps, its snout pointed downwards, on top of the mouse.
This usually means the end for the mouse, as few manage to escape this wolf's jaws.
This wolf is still quite young, about 6 months old, and has now gone hunting by itself. Later in the day, he returns to the parental den.
