The troublemakers of the forest. You often hear them before you see them, partly because they are so well camouflaged. But they are not only busy making noise, they also like to hop from branch to branch. As long as you stay calm and don't make any quick movements they will tolerate you.
Although I heard them all morning and saw them shoot away it seemed that this one was challenging me. A mix of hide and seek and tag. Fine. I have quite a bit of patience. From the lookout to the hiding spot and then chattering away at a post again. This rascal really challenged me but from the looks of it, neither of us were quitters.
Bird photography is incredibly fast. In the blink of an eye, a flick of the wings and then the reaction speed of a human being followed by the camera. Now I was trying to estimate where the wren would go. The next post. It succeeded and it was the only nice shot I had, and managed to get. With great happiness and appreciation, I looked back at the screen. My day was already complete.
