Black-and-white photo of the 34 Dutch windmills along the Philipsdam in the Krammer wind farm during a beautiful clear day with yet cloudy skies. The photo shows the windmills on the Oosterschelde, which are far out in the landscape, forming a nice contrast with the sky.
The water in the foreground makes the photo calm, creating a nice vista.
This photo is actually a promotion of the green energy extracted here.
The more wind, the greater the energy output.
The energy that 1 windmill on a windy one can produce is huge.
1 revolution of the rotor blades produces about as much energy as 1 household needs per day. With 10MW of power, this is still a very respectable amount.
The site chosen here for the wind turbines is due to the fact that it is almost always windy here. Green energy is a must these days and also much needed to meet the European climate targets.
