The gorge Wimbachklamm in Ramsau near Berchtesgaden is located at the entrance to the sprawling Wimbachtal in the Berchtesgaden National Park. It is only about 200 m long, the path leads steadily uphill through the gorge, mostly over wooden footbridges to the upper exit, from which it then goes on a leisurely way for miles on through the Wimbach valley.
The picture shows the gorge about half way from a small bridge. On the left, the water shoots over many small waterfalls in the raging torrent Wimbach running through the gorge.
