The white-tailed eagle, also known as the white-headed sea eagle, is a majestic bird found in many parts of the world, including the Lofoten Islands, an archipelago in northern Norway.
This bald eagle was photographed from an old fishing boat that we sailed into the fjords. A unique experience to do once. We left from Svolvaer and then into the Trollfjord.
The white-tailed eagle, bird of prey, is an imposing appearance with a wingspan of up to 2.5 meters and a weight of almost 7 kilograms. It is therefore no surprise that the Lofoten white-tailed eagle is a major attraction for bird watchers and nature photographers.
The Lofoten are an ideal habitat for the white-tailed eagle because of the many fish-rich fjords and bays, where the birds can find their food.
