The White-tailed Eagle, Haliaeetus albicilla, is the largest bird of prey in Europe. It is also called the European White-tailed Eagle. The bird acquires its characteristic grey head in the third year of life. It mainly feeds on fish but occasionally eats rabbits, birds and other small animals.
