Where the waterfall becomes sea is my ode to wonder: a surreal place where a huge waterfall flows directly into the ocean. Four hikers have followed one narrow, tricky path to get here; just as they come to a halt in the mist, a curious whale breaks through the surface to take a breath.
This work is a montage of several AI-generated images by me, combined with a 3D render of the whale I previously made for Making Friends (work code 844684). In Photoshop, I built the composition by hand: correcting perspective, adding atmospheric haze and light, painting water details and applying colour gradation until the elements formed one world.
