HawFinch on a branch looks very cheekily into the lens.
The hawfinch is a well-built species of finch.
The relatively large head is orange brown with a black chin, throat and rein. The hawfinch has a large, thick neck with a grey neckline. The heavy, cone-shaped bill is metallic dark blue in summer and becomes horn-coloured in winter. The short legs are light brown.
