Wharariki Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in New Zealand. It is located west of Cape Farewell, the northernmost tip on New Zealand's South Island. But it's not just the beach that's so beautiful i. It's actually the whole area that's impressive.
When you arrive it looks just like walking through a desert. Once you pass the sand dunes you come to the beach and there you see 3 beautiful rugged cliffs in the sea. From this point you can walk south for about half an hour to a large rock arch. Once back at the beginning you can also make some beautiful swings through the area around the beach. This picture was taken during one of these walks. North of the beach a path leads steeply up the hills and from the top you have a beautiful view of the beach and you also get a good view of the surroundings. All in all highly recommended for those who have more time than average to discover New Zealand because this area is quite far from the usual tourist route.
