About ‘Wet feet’ by Ger Nielen

Wet feet, luckily it wasn't too bad. But exciting to leave your camera on tripod when the water is coming in and take a few steps back yourself.

Well, there it is at last, had been on my list for a long time and many have preceded me to this photogenic spot "Palendorp" near Petten. This fine work of art consists of a 160 poles ranging from six to 12 metres in length. The poles are in the shape of ten houses and a church. It is a reminder of old Petten, which was inundated by the sea long ago.

ND filter on the lens, camera on tripod and composition search.
Weather on arrival was still disappointing, little drawing in the sky.
Had to use HDR again to create some contrast.

Once, sometime in the 1960s, started with a Box camera. After that, photography never left him. Around 1990, he focused mainly on aerial photography, but nowadays travel and landscape photography are his passion. This still involves photo editing, such as HDR and to enhance the mood, especially in black-and-white images.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
