About the artwork
This work captures Barcelona architecture in an abstract way. The lines of the ceiling fluidly follow the shape of waves, blurring the recognisability of the building. Only a few windows are visible - like silent hints to reality - while the rest seem to dissolve into soft shapes and light.
While photographing, I became fascinated by the poetic beauty of it all. The images have a milky, almost cappuccino-like, appearance, evoking a dreamy atmosphere.
With this series, I want to convey a contemplative yet dynamic feeling. The waves can be seen as a metaphor for inner movement - thoughts, emotions, rhythms of the mind. Together, the four images form a harmonious ensemble.
With its soft tones and organic shapes, this work would look great in a living room, above the piano, in the bedroom or a calming environment.
