Watercolour of the Nieuwe Kerk in Zierikzee, Schouwen-Duiveland. This neo-classical structure was built in the period 1835-184 as a successor to the Sint-Lievensmonsterkerk that was reduced to ashes in 1832, of which only the Great Tower now remains. The church was badly damaged at the end of World War II. The church was restored in stages between 1978 and 1988.
