In 1926-1927 in Zutphen, just outside the city walls, a water tower was built by 'Hollandsche Maatschappij' to make Works in Armed Concrete. This tower is located on the Warnsveldseweg and was designed by the architect Hendrik Sangster. This tower was built to replace the Drogenapstoren which at that time was used as a water tower.
The water tower has a height of 46.2 meters and a water tank with a capacity of 600 m³.
In 1984 apartments were built in the lower part of the tower.
