About the artwork

The picture shows a close-up of water droplets on a surface that is set in scene by coloured light sources. The drops reflect and refract the light, creating a lively pattern of colours such as violet, green, yellow and blue. The inspiration for this work was the observation of everyday materials under changing light conditions. I was interested in how targeted lighting and perspective can transform a simple scene into a visually complex image. The drops act like small lenses, focussing and diffusing the light in unexpected ways.

The atmosphere I want to create with this picture is calm, almost meditative - but with a certain tension created by the colour contrasts. It is about perception, about discovering beauty in the unspectacular.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
