About the artwork
Water droplets on a "golden" feather is a macro photo of a small piece of a feather, with very small water droplets on it. The light, colours and processing make the feather appear golden in colour.
To get a nice "abstract" image, I have chosen the settings so that only a few drops of hair are in focus and behind them (and in front of them) the sharpness quickly changes to out of focus (fading). This creates an image where reality seems to transition into a kind of abstract dream - fantasy world. This work consists mainly of the colours gold, taupe, beige, cream and brown-grey tones.
Personally, I would write this image down as a pastel-coloured, cosy, calm image. It almost has something picturesque about it. Has something abstract but at the same time pieces that are very detailed. A quietly warm image.
This work could, for example, hang beautifully as wall decoration in the waiting room, bedroom, hallway or, of course, just above the sofa!
