About the artwork

The painting presents a visionary idea of ocean colonisation. In the middle of the sea stretches a hole in which trees sprout and ships make their courses. This fascinating underwater world stretches out like a gigantic carousel, crowned by a central mast or a possible tent construction. Houses and settlements flourish in this deepened sea oasis, a self-sufficient underwater world in the air.

An invisible force holds the water masses apart and shapes this circular space, possibly even through a glass construction. This depiction is reminiscent of the concept of underwater cities, where people can live and work in a unique environment.

The idea of settling the ocean is gaining momentum in the real world as scientists and engineers develop concepts for underwater cities to harness the resources of the sea and mitigate the impact of climate change on coastal regions. This painting neutrally reflects the desire for such a symbiosis between land and water, a new world beneath the surface that fundamentally expands our understanding of dwelling and living in the depths of the ocean.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
