There is a growing realisation that we need to increase biodiversity in our environment. And what better place to start than your own garden. We wanted some more water in the garden for birds but a full pond didn't fit. A few patio ponds could and we placed native aquatic plants in them, of organic origin of course. And best of all.... for a photographer, of course, several new things to photograph. This macro photo is of a flowering 'bog-get-me-not'.
I personally find the soft blue tones against the light green very pleasing to look at. It is almost painterly and yet it is really a macro photo.
