About the artwork
"Warm colours: Drops on a morning star (Tragopogon)" is a macro photo of water droplets on seed pods photographed from below. This (edited) photo has mainly brown tones (such as beige and taupe), gold and champagne colour.
When taking this photo, a small sharpness was chosen. This creates not only a dreamy atmosphere but also a sense of depth in the work. You look between and past the fluffy ball of fluff.
On the line where the focus is, you see the drops and the fluff sharp, and before and behind it everything fades away again. (It has become a kind of see-through).
The drops also help to create this dreamy atmosphere, they reflect the light and this creates sparkles on the drops.
The texture of these seed pods is very fine and forms a beautiful structure that the water droplets stick to. It reminds me a little of a spider's web.
