Skyline of the boulevard of Vlissingen, Zeeland, the Netherlands.
The boulevard of Vlissingen was completely renovated in the 1990s. At one end of the boulevard stands Michiel de Ruyter, at the other end stands the wind organ. On the boulevard there are several restaurants and terraces where summer and winter the view of the passing seagoing ships is unique.
At the bottom of the boulevard there is an asphalt slope on which you can walk and cycle. On the slope of Boulevard de Ruyter, between the Prison Tower and the statue of Frans Naerebout, stands the longest bank. This 122 metre stainless steel bench was sponsored by local companies and private individuals, who were therefore allowed to engrave their own text on 'their meter'. From the longest bench you have a beautiful view over the Westerschelde estuary. Around the wind organ are the Badstrand and the Nollestrand, the latter with beach cottages.
