A beautiful summer evening on Vlieland.
A number of people were walking up the Vuurboetsduin towards the lighthouse towards the end of the day to catch a glimpse of the setting sun.
I could see the warm golden yellow light adding beautiful accents to the landscape. As if oil paint was being applied with a brush.
I already knew the location, having used this composition before but the perfect light was missing then. Sitting on the bench shown and enjoying the landscape while doing so, it was just a matter of time that the light showed itself to be optimal. Patience pays off.
Photography is more than an out of control hobby of mine, a passion!
I am mainly guided by my feelings and less by how it should be according to the theoretical book. The technical aspect is important and supportive but certainly not leading. An image has to 'grab' me...
