I created this illustration in July 2025, inspired by my interest in classic cars and my love of Christmas. The idea centers on a seasonal journey in the run-up to the holidays.
The artwork draws on the imagery of the 1950s and 1960s, a period known for its optimistic mid-century modern design. It shows a woman and her small dog driving through a snowy winter landscape in a mint-green cabriolet – a true American vintage car. On the back seat rests a Christmas tree with festively wrapped presents. The mood recalls old Christmas cards from that era, blending the retro style of the fifties and sixties with the warmth of the holiday season.
The piece has a horizontal landscape format and works well in a variety of interiors. It can brighten up a living room, dining room or kitchen, but also a hallway, study or children’s room. The illustration complements mid-century interiors, vintage-inspired spaces, or any home where a touch of retro is welcome.
