A blue heron stands by the water of the ring canal and keeps an eye on my. That water is the blue in the background. The heron stood there dead still, looking at the water and possible fish with one eye, and at me with the other. So he was simultaneously watching two things, the fish for its food and me for his safety. I had a huge 800 mm lens pointed at him, so then you do keep an eye on that. Other than that, absolutely nothing happened. Not in real life and not in the picture. At least you know what to look at.
Herons are beautiful animals. Stately, I even find them elegant and with their crooked necks they look like they come from prehistoric times. Ancient.
