The Royal Pavilion in Brighton sits in its own formal gardens (Pavilion Gardens) and this view is through the flower borders towards one corner of the Pavilion. A wonderfully exotic, ornate building, the Brighton Pavilion would not be out of place in India thanks to the influence of the architect John Nash when he was involved in the rebuilding of this royal residence in the early part of the nineteenth century. The building is large and acted as the seaside retreat of George IV from before he was king (Prince of Wales) and following his coronation.
