The Amalfi Coast is a popular stretch of coast where a lot of domestic and foreign tourists go. So many that it is hardly possible for locals to park their cars. They even park their car up to a few kilometers outside a village and then take the scooter home. The parking spaces that are available are therefore quickly occupied. Not really ideal for exploring the Amalfi Coast by car.
The coastal strip is rugged and mountainous and consists of a string of places like Positano, Vietri sul Mare, Ravello and Amalfi itself. The Amalfi Coast is located in the Campania region, of which Naples is the capital.
It is definitely worthwhile to explore the Amalfi Coast. By scooter or public transport. And then take a few days for it. Or travel from place to place by boat and enjoy the view.
