About "View of the old town centre of Bamberg"

About the artwork

This work shows a tranquil scene from the old town centre of Bamberg, captured from a riverside perspective. A wide river flows in the foreground, with two boats moored at its edge - one of which bears the name "City of Bamberg". Historic buildings with red roofs and half-timbered façades, some of which are visible, are lined up along the riverbank. The sky is cloudy, which lends the scenery a reserved, almost meditative atmosphere.

The idea for this picture came to me during a walk along the Regnitz. I was fascinated by the quiet presence of the boats and the way the architecture blends into the riverbank - an interplay of movement and permanence. The aim was to capture this moment of tranquillity without idealising it.

The atmosphere is deliberately restrained. The picture invites you to pause and discover the details - be it in the structure of the roofs, the reflections in the water or the quiet presence of the boats. It is about the balance between city and river, between past and present.

In an interior, this work of art acts as a calm but expressive eye-catcher. It brings depth, structure and a touch of history to the room - ideal for living or working areas with a sense of authenticity.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
