View of the Temple of Debod, in Madrid (Spain), during a cold autumn day. The temple was a gift from Egypt to Spain in 1968 in compensation for Spanish aid after the international appeal made by UNESCO to save the temples of Nubia, mainly that of Abu Simbel, in danger of disappearance due to the construction of the dam of Aswan. The temple dates back to the 2nd century BC. The temple is located on a hill in the city of Madrid from which you can see the park known as Campo del Moro and you can see both the Royal Palace and the Cathedral of La Almudena. In autumn, the lake that surrounds the Temple is filled with leaves that fall from the trees, providing a blanket of warm colors to the monument, giving it a poetic aura.
