This alley from the Oranjestraat to the Oranjehof in Utrecht reminded me of Vermeer's alley. I emphasized the painting-like character by giving it a light, digital watercolor treatment. It gives an almost surrealistic atmosphere, which of course fits well in Moesman-town Utrecht.
It also includes Rembrandt's Maarten and Oopjen, which only enhances the old master feeling. In the background, against a Willink-like cloudscape, the Jacobi Church is prominently visible.
With each sale, I make a change to the work, so you always have a unique Van Gogh over the couch.
Although working as a lyrical chronicler, sometimes I see things that are not there; I photograph and edit them.
