Before I went to Canada, I knew these photos, of course: beautiful blue and green water among the mountains and forests of Canada. But when I was actually there, it was only when I was there that I realised it really is this colour and there was no photoshop involved.

Emerald Lake gets its name from the beautiful colour of the water. It is meltwater from the mountains and the grit from the rock walls that comes with the water, combined with the light from the sun, gives the lakes their beautiful blue colour. This location is every traveller's dream and perfect for travel photography. The landscape offers endless opportunities for spectacular shots, with the crystal-clear water, surrounding snow-capped peaks and dense forests that change colour every season. Emerald Lake is a magical place where the natural beauty and tranquillity are the ultimate inspiration for any travel photographer.
