On Gulperweg in Epen (Heuvelland, South Limburg), you have a beautiful view of the Geul valley from Schweiberg. The Heuvelland with its stream valleys, graves, fields and woodlands belong to the foothills of the Ardennes massif. On the horizon, I can see the steeple of St Martin's church in Vijlen. To its left, even further away, big white clouds of vapour are billowing from the chimneys of the lignite power plant in Weisweiler, Germany.
