About "Vestiges of Banteay, Angkor"

About the artwork

At the heart of the Angkor site, the temple of Banteay reveals its stone remains, marked by the passage of time. This photo captures a series of imposing columns lined up in a row, frozen in an almost austere atmosphere. The total absence of vegetation highlights the raw texture of the stone, carefully sculpted by Khmer craftsmen centuries ago. Erosion and the passage of time have only added character to these columns, silent witnesses to a flourishing period of the Khmer Empire. With no natural ornamentation, the scene is in stark contrast to other Angkor temples, which are often overgrown with jungle. Here, only stone reigns, imposing its historical weight and symmetrical structure. The light highlights the relief, accentuating the architectural details and the timeless aura of the place. Banteay, less well known than the great neighbouring temples, fascinates by its sobriety and authenticity, plunging us into a past where human ingenuity could be seen in each carefully assembled block of stone.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
