Piazza Brà, with its pink marble promenade and equestrian statue of King Vittoro Emanuele II, is the largest piazza in Verona. Around the square are cafes, restaurants and notable buildings such as the Arena, the City Hall and the Palazzo della Gran Guardia. The fountain Fontana delle Alpi is surrounded by a shady garden.
