"The room where time breathes gently"
There was once a small room, high up in an Italian house where the days crept slowly by. The little bed, once carefully made with rose dust, still seems to hold a hint of warmth from someone who slept here years ago.
The walls whisper stories. The hand-painted flowers - half faded, half alive - sway in the soft light that slips in through the old window. As if they reawakened with the sun every morning.
It is a space that does not want to be forgotten.
A place where silence is not empty, but filled with memories.
Maybe someone prayed here before sleeping, maybe someone dreamed of distant lands here, maybe the last laugh, cry or hope was made here.
Now everything stands still. But in the silence you feel something:
This was once someone's world.
And for one breath, as you stand there with your camera, it too becomes yours.
We found this cottage by chance during our urbex trip in October 2025 .
We were looking for an abandoned church but came across this one .
