The van Nelle factory is one of the most important Dutch industrial buildings and has been on the Unesco world food list since 2014. The factory was built between 1927 and 1930 and was at that time a very modern factory. Until the end of the last century, tobacco was still made here. The factory was renovated in 2000 and since then it has been home to a variety of companies that can rent a space here. But the old style has remained completely intact.
