Vaals, Vaalsbroek Castle. It owes its current structure to Johann Arnold von Clermont, a cloth manufacturer who used it as his residence in the eighteenth century. The estate is beautifully situated in the hilly landscape, near the border triangle, Maastricht and Aachen. Today, the castle is used as a hotel.
