While walking on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, I was struck by the beauty of a sahara-like plain with a small body of water. Although autumn had not yet made its appearance, my thoughts were already transported to an autumn landscape full of colours and contrasts. These thoughts formed the basis for this artwork.
