Utrecht's cathedral tower after renovation. The photo was taken from the Weerdsluis. On the right side of the picture you can see café Weerdzicht and in the middle the Zandbrug which gives you access to the Oudengracht.
I had to wait 7 years to take this photo. Because during the 7 years, the cathedral tower was under scaffolding.
Photographed during the so-called blue hour which can be clearly seen by the blue sky. This was achieved with a long shutter time and a small aperture, giving a sharp image overall.
The time of day can be read from the clock face on the cathedral tower.
