Hong Kong has a huge amount of high apartment buildings, most of them already quite old. Many are social housing, not very exciting in terms of architecture. What makes them so special are the variety of colors that are used, but also the fact that because of lack of space (the average house there is the size of a stamp), one has to find a place to hang up the laundry, for example. Looking up, you can therefore see old clothing hangers with dresses, underpants and worn socks hanging everywhere outside the window, whether on the 2 or 32nd floor. Here you would have the landlord banging at your door, but in Hong Kong this is very normal.
