Uninhabited island as seen from a seaplane – Maldives by By Marjolein Design

Uninhabited island seen from a seaplane

This aerial photograph, taken from a seaplane, shows a small uninhabited island in the Maldives, surrounded by clear water, sandbanks and reef. From this high vantage point, the various shades of blue and turquoise are clearly visible, ranging from the shallow, light-coloured water to the deeper ocean surrounding it. The narrow strip of white sand extending from the island into the water adds a striking line to the image and further enhances the composition.

The green island provides a lovely contrast to the white sand and the clear sea. In the background, further small islands and reef formations can be seen, lending the image a great sense of depth and space. It is precisely the perspective from the seaplane that allows this photograph to showcase just how extraordinary the Maldivian landscape is.

On the wall, this piece fits particularly well in a light, modern or Scandinavian interior, but also in a tranquil country-style setting or a hotel-chic interior featuring natural tones. Think of spaces with white, beige, sandy colours, wood and light shades of grey. Thanks to its fresh shades of blue, it is also very suitable for a hall, living room, bedroom, office or holiday home.
