About ‘Under the painted Scheveningen Pier’ by Arjen Roos

"Under the Painted Scheveningen Pier" is a digital painting based on a series of 19 photos I took during a walk on the Scheveningen beach. The photos were so colourful and intriguing that I could not resist combining them into one image. The painting shows a unique view under the painted pier, where the light falls through the poles and the colourful graffiti on the walls. The composition is chosen so that the pier rises above the image, making it seem as if the viewer is standing under the pier itself. The colours are bold and vibrant, creating a sense of energy and movement, and there are many small details in the painting that bring it to life. Like the various graffiti on the walls, the chipped paint on the posts and the shadows created by the light. This gives a unique view of the underside of a pier, a place that is often overlooked. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
